A modern glamorous restoration for a Victorian terrace.

Restoring this special terrace to its former glory was such a work of love. The brief was to create a backdrop reminiscent of Hollywood Regency glamour but modernise it in such a way that contemporary furnishings would be at home in. New cornices, chair rails and wall mouldings were added in the formal living and dining rooms to add glamour and further magnify the 3-metre ceiling height.

We took a fresh approach to traditional French panelling and made it more contemporary by painting the inside of the panels in a duck-egg blue contrast colour.

The stained dark chocolate floors are an ideal stage for the metallic and mirrored finishes, luxurious textiles and soft furnishings, playful patterns and textures.

The stairs were painted in a striking black and white runner that snakes around the landing before continuing onto another flight of stairs.

The theme of modern glamour carries through to the bedrooms – sophisticated and refined in the master bedroom and more whimsical and colourful in the children’s rooms.
