An Art Deco Balmoral bungalow is reimagined for modern living.
Set within an original 1920s Art Deco building a stone’s throw away from Balmoral beach, this whole-floor garden apartment renovation revisits a 20-year old overhaul that had begun to feel dated. Our clients wished for a complete transformation for a luxurious pied-à-terre with state-of-the-art bathrooms, retreat-like bedrooms, custom storage, plentiful storage and a kitchen that provides an equal measure of wow factor and high-level functionality. We opted for beautiful materials such as natural stone with some drama, special finishes such as Venetian plaster and micro-render, textural wallpaper, bronze tapware and trims and reeded glass, while reimagining and redesigning this family’s home for modern living.
